Art Deco 5.07 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1925
A top grade sapphire in an equally impressive mounting. The natural, no heat Ceylon sapphire in the centre displays the perfect cornflower blue; rich, bright, with clear flashes of violet and indigo. The stone in showcased in an exceptional highly detailed mount; with two inverted “V”s of calibré sapphires in the shoulders, and with diamonds set in the finely carved and engraved mount. This is pure treasure.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire in centre, with calibré cut sapphires and eight-cut diamonds in the mount.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS.
Carat – The centre sapphire is 5.07 carat, with a further approximate 0.32 carat of diamonds in the mount. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.38 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Size – P (UK) or 7.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.79 x 8.32mm. Sits 7.10mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum (10% iridium). Stamped.
