Art Nouveau Natural Saltwater Pearl Pin Brooch, circa 1900
A truly special natural pearl, beautifully and simply showcased. The blister pearl (meaning the pearl grew attached to the mollusk shell resulting in it’s irregular dome shape) is claw-set in a hand-made collet. The smooth, creamy lustre of the pearl contrasts with the hammered vine leaves – with subtle heart details at either end adding further detail to this Art Nouveau beauty.
Accompanied by a report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory (London) stating the pearl is natural, saltwater.
