Edwardian 2.32 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, French, circa 1910
Jaw-droppingly beautiful. A fantastic cushion shaped old cut diamond in the most unique and striking of mounts. Held in an eight claw platinum collet on a sweeping, exaggerated S-shaped curve band. Ten old cut diamonds (five either side) are set in brushed platinum shoulders, leading to a brushed rose gold band.
French hallmarks.
Cut – Old mine / miner cuts
Colour – The centre diamond is I colour. The diamonds in the shoulders are G.
Clarity – The centre diamond is SI2. All the marks are white and the stone is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds in the shoulders are VS2.
Carat – 2.32 in the centre, with a further estimated 0.26 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1910.
Size – K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is approximately 7.8mm by 8.6mm and sits 6.65mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k rose gold and platinum. French hallmarks.
