Edwardian 2.96 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1910
A sumptuous Ceylon sapphire. The natural unheated centre stone is rubover set in yellow gold, with twenty-two rose cut diamonds in silver set the surround. Stunningly shaped ornate shoulders leads to a slim, fluted shank. Mesmerising, unique and very, very effective.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire in centre, with rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 2.96 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.44 carat.
Circa – 1910.
Condition – Some damage to the under gallery. Obviously, this can’t be seen when the ring is worn, but is worth noting.
Size – O 1/2 (UK) or 7.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 9.00 x 6.14mm. The head of the ring is approximately 15.9 x 14mm. Sits 6.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 14k yellow gold and silver. Tested.
