Edwardian 9k Yellow Gold Mourning Brooch, dated 1902

A small but tantalising piece of history. The small window on the back would have held the hair of a loved one (it is now empty.) With four ornate panels around a central oval shaped centre. One rose cut diamond in star set in the middle. Clear hallmarks from the Chester (UK) assay, with date marks indicating 1902.

Measurements – 45mm by 15.8mm.

Metal – 9k gold. Hallmarked.
