Mid Century 17.89 Carat Natural Yellow Ceylon Sapphire Brooch, circa 1940

An awesome piece of jewellery. The natural, unheated sapphire is a glowing and golden yellow. Twenty-four natural pearls border the main stone, with intricate foliate metal work in yellow gold which is accented by a further eight natural pearls. An utter dream.

Accompanied by a Sapphire Report from Gemmological Certification Services stating the sapphire is natural and without treatment, originating from Sri Lanka (Ceylon).

Cut – Cushion cut.

Clarity – Eye clean.

Carat – 17.89.

Circa – 1940.

Measurements – The sapphire is 20.81mm by 11.07mm. The brooch is approximately 63.4mm by 53.3mm

Metal – 18k yellow gold. Tested.
