Mid Century 4.28 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1960

A breathtaking sapphire, beautifully showcased in a white gold coronet cluster. The natural, unheated Ceylon sapphire displays an electric fresh blue. Fourteen high white round brilliant cut diamonds are rubover set around the centre stone, with fine keyhole-shaped detailing in the gallery, leading to a flat, white gold shank. A triumph.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Oval cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G.

Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2

Carat – The sapphire is a known 4.28 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.42 carat.

Circa – 1960.

Size – R (UK) or 8 5/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 9.6 x 6.9mm. The head of the ring is 16.1 x 13mm and sits 7.9mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
