Mid Century 6.50 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1950

A grand and impressive statement of a ring. The natural and unheated Ceylon sapphire is deep, glowing blue with clear flashes of indigo. The centre stone is surrounded by fourteen large and white old cut diamonds in cutaway settings. Beautiful handmade detailing in the gallery leads to a slim platinum shank. A masterpiece.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Oval cut sapphire and old cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are F to G.

Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS2 to SI2.

Carat – The sapphire is approximately 6.50 carat. The total approximate diamond weight approximately 2.80 carat.

Circa – 1950.

Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 13.3 x 10.1mm. The head of the ring is 23.1 x 19mm and sits 7.1mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum. Tested.
