Mid Century Opal & Rose Cut Diamond Trilogy Ring, French, circa 1960

Such a pretty ring. The oval cabochon opal has a wonderful play of colour, with distinct flashed of green, blue, orange and yellow. The centre is secured in an eight-claw yellow gold collet, with a rubover set rose cut diamond either side, leading to a yellow gold D-shaped shank.

Cut – Oval cabochon opal and rose cut diamonds.

Colour – Diamonds are H to I.

Clarity – The diamonds are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The opal is approximately 1.50 carat, with an total approximate diamond weight of 0.04 carat.

Circa – 1960.

Measurements – The opal is approximately 9.2 x 7.5mm. Sits 6.5mm from the finger.
