Victorian Amethyst & Pearl Riviere Necklace, circa 1880

A fine and elegant Victorian riviere necklace, with 19 horizontally set oval cut natural amethysts in an open backed cutdown claw setting, allowing maximum light into these glowing purple stones. The articulated links are each hold a natural seed pearl, to a total of 18. Secured by a hidden push clasp and safety chain.
