Art Deco 2.37 Carat Old Cut Diamond & Onyx Brooch, circa 1940
A fine, dramatic diamond and onyx brooch. The bar shaped brooch features a bed of onyx with with a graduating line of thirteen old mine cut diamond in a platinum, milgrained setting. A engraved platinum border frames the onyx, to a yellow gold closed gallery – itself beautifully engraved with neat geometric detailing. A quintessentially Art Deco brooch.

Cut – Old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds range from J to Q.
Clarity – VS1 to SI2; all the diamonds are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – An approximate total diamond weight of 2.37 carat.

Measurements – The brooch is 54.50 x 12.6mm
Metal – The white metal border and the setting for the diamonds tests as platinum. The yellow gold tests as 14k.
