Art Deco 0.52 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1940
A glowingly white old cut diamond takes centre stage in this elegant antique engagement ring. The slightly oval shaped centre stone – graded by HRD as F colour, SI1 clarity – is secured in an eight claw crown collet. High, marquise shaped shoulders are each set with three eight-cut diamonds, leading to a slim, D-shaped platinum shank.
Accompanied a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#180000077620).
Cut – Old mine cut diamond (with eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders).
Colour – F (with H to I in the shoulders).
Clarity – SI1.
Carat – 0.52. With an additional approximate 0.08 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1940.
Measurements – The diamond in the centre is 5.00 x 4.58mm. Sits 5.4mm from the finger.
