Art Deco 0.56 Carat Old Cut Diamond & Sapphire Engagement Ring, circa 1915

An absolutely awesome early Art Deco engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre is blindingly white and bursting with life and fire. The stone is secured in a square collet with fine milgraining on the claws and in the gallery. The wide, shoulders features triangular venting and is accented with four (two each side) rose cut diamonds. The slender platinum shank holds eight (four each side) step cut blue sapphires in a milgrained channel setting.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30307223).

Cut – Old European cut diamond in the centre, with rose cut diamonds in the shoulders and step-cut sapphires running down the shank.

Colour – The centre stone is F. (The smaller diamonds are H to I.)

Clarity – SI1 in the centre. The remaining stones are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The centre stone is approximately 0.56 carat, with a further approximate 0.02 carat of diamonds in the shoulders and approximately 0.09 carat of sapphires.

Circa – 1915.

Measurements – The centre stone is approximately 5.25mm in diameter. Sits 5.2mm from the finger.
