Art Deco 0.68 Carat Ruby & 1.30 Carat Diamond Earrings, circa 1940
An awesome pair of Art Deco earrings. Each earring is set in one marquise cut and four step cut rubies with a further forty-two blindingly white eight-cut diamonds set in platinum in a beautifully crafted and shaped stylised wings.
Accompanied by an independent jewellery report by IGR (#30308115).
Cut – The rubies are marquise cuts and step cuts, with eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are E to G.
Clarity – The rubies are VS to SI (all are clean to the naked eye). The diamonds are VVS2 to VS1.
Carat – A total approximate ruby weight of 0.68 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.30 carat.
Circa – 1940.
Measurements – The earrings are 30.3 x 15.75mm
Metal – Platinum. The post and closure are 18k white gold. Tested.
