Art Deco 0.79 Carat Light Fancy Cognac Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1920
A splendid and rather unique old cut diamond in a beautiful early 20th century mount. The centre stone is a light fancy cognac – very clean – and with heaps of fire and sparkle. The stone is rubover set in a square collet with heart motifs in the gallery, leading to beautifully detailed diamond set shoulders and a D-shaped yellow gold band. A classic solitaire engagement ring; but with a twist.
Cut – Old mine cut in the centre, with eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders.
Colour – Light fancy cognac in the centre. The accent diamonds are G.
Clarity –VS2.
Carat – 0.79 in the centre, with an additional estimated 0.06 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1920.
Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 6.6mm by 6.6mm and sits 7mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. Stamped.
