Art Deco 0.79 Carat Old Cut Diamond Hexagonal Cluster Ring, French, circa 1930
An extraordinary Art Deco diamond cluster ring. The old cut diamond in the centre – weighing 0.52 carat – is secured in an eight claw platinum collet with an open gallery, allowing maximum light through this lively stone. The centre ‘floats’ within a hexagonal shaped surround, with twelve eight-cut diamonds and linear etching and milgraining. A fine, hand-sawn gallery leads to a slim 18k white gold shank.

Cut – Old mine cut with eight-cuts in the surround.
Colour – The centre is J, with H to I in the surround.
Clarity – The centre is SI1, with VS2 to SI1 in the surround.
Carat – A known 0.52 carat in the centre, with approximately 0.27 carat in the surround.
Circa – 1930.
Measurements – The head of the ring is approximately 13.7 x 13mm. Sits 5.8mm from the finger.
