Art Deco 0.80 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1935
A delight of a vintage engagement ring. The white and lively old European cut diamond in the centre is secured in a platinum eight claw open collet, set above a scalloped back plate. The decorative shoulders are set with six (three each side) rose cut diamonds in a split design, leading to a slim 18k white gold shank.

Cut – Old European cut diamond in the centre, with rose cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – I in the centre, with F to H in the shoulders.
Clarity – SI2 in the centre. The diamonds in the shoulders are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The centre is approximately 0.80 carat, with a further approximate of 0.05 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1935.
Size – R 1/2 (UK) or 8 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is 5.8mm in diameter and sits 8.2mm from the finger.
Metal – Stamped PLAT 18CT – platinum and 18k gold – and tests as such.
