Art Deco 0.85 Carat Old Cut Diamond Solitaire Pendant, French, circa 1935
An exceptional diamond solitaire pendant. The old mine cut diamond is incredibly bright and dazzlingly vibrant, and is secured in an eight-claw collet above a scalloped back plate. The main diamond drops from a “V” shape bale set with two old cut and one eight cut diamond. On the original 16 inch white gold trace chain (with safety chain).

Cut – Old mine cut in the drop. The bale holds two old cuts and a smaller eight-cut
Colour – G in the drop. G to I in the bale.
Clarity – SI1.
Carat – The drop is a known 0.85 carat, with an additional approximate 0.10 in the bale.
Circa – 1935.
Measurements –The diamond is approximately 6mm in diameter. From the top of the bale to the bottom of the diamond is 15.6mm
Metal – 18k white gold. The chain has a french hallmark; the pendant has been tested.
