Art Deco 0.88 Carat Greenish Yellow Transitional Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1930

A marvellously unique vintage diamond engagement ring. The transitional cut diamond in the centre displays a clear and distinct yellowish green tint, and is secured in an eight-claw open collet above a scalloped back-plate. The intricately crafted platinum shoulders features fine foliate detailing studded with six (three each side) rose cut diamonds, leading to a D-shaped yellow gold shank.

Cut – Transitional cut in the centre, with roes cut diamonds in the shoulders.
Colour – The centre is greenish-yellow. The diamonds in the shoulders are H to I.
Clarity – SI2.
Carat – The centre is a known 0.88 carat, with approximately 0.04 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1930.
Measurements – The diamond is approximately 6.25 x 5.9mm. Sits 6.9mm from the finger.
