Art Deco 0.90 Carat Mogok Burmese Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1920
An exceptional natural, unenhanced Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring. The ruby in the centre – certified as natural, unheated, and originating from Myanmar (Burma) displays a bright pinkish red. The stone is secured by eight platinum claws within a surround of eight chunky old mine cut diamonds in a platinum coronet setting. A further two diamonds (one each side) are set in the platinum shoulders, leading to a slim 18k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin, from Mogok.
Cut – Oval cut ruby and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are between H and I.
Clarity – The ruby is eye-clean. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The ruby is approximately 0.90 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.25 carat
Circa – 1920.
Size – J 1/2 (UK) or 5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is approximately 7.8 x 4.7mm. The head of the ring is 15.8 x 11.9mm and sits 6.1mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. Tested.
