Art Deco 0.98 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1940
An extraordinary vintage engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre is dazzlingly white and, despite its grading of I1, is bursting with life and fire. The centre stone is secured by six split claws within an open gallery, leading to milgrained and diamond-set double-leaf shoulders to a slender platinum shank. Desperately pretty.
