Art Deco 0.99 Carat Old European Cut Diamond & Sapphire Ring, circa 1940
A late Art Deco ring in platinum that is absolutely bursting with originality and intrigue. The central old European cut diamond – high white and full of vibrancy – is rubover set and floating within a mount that holds an incredible amount of detail. The pierced gallery is set with twenty four European cut diamonds and four deep blue sapphires. A further twelve diamonds are set in the split shoulders which leads to a pierced split-band. Stunning and rare.

Cut – The diamonds are old European cuts. The sapphires are square step cuts.
Colour – F in the centre. The smaller diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The central diamond is VS2. The smaller diamonds are VS1 to SI1.
Carat – Approximately 0.47 in the centre, with an additional 0.52 of diamonds and 0.30 carat of sapphire in the rest of the ring.
Circa – 1940.

Measurements – The cluster is 14.7mm by 14.7mm and sits 6.7mm from the finger.
