Everything about this is wonderful. The exceptional old European cut diamond in the centre – graded by GIA as G colour, SI1 clarity – is secured in a six claw platinum collet with distinctive geometric detailing in the gallery. On a slim 18k yellow gold shank set with ten (five each side) eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Accompanied by a GIA certificate, report no. 2347636559.

Cut – Old European cut (eight-cuts in the shoulders).

Colour – G (F to G in the shoulders).

Clarity – SI1 (VS1 to VS2 in the shoulders).

Carat – 1.08 (with a further approximate 0.07 carat in the shoulders.

Circa – 1935.

Measurements – The diamond is 6.69 x 6.75mm. Sits 6.9mm from the finger.
