Art Deco 1.10 Carat Natural Ruby Trilogy Ring, circa 1935
A lovely vintage ruby trilogy. The trio of natural, unheated rubies – all well matched and each displaying a rich, purplish red – are mounted in an 18k yellow gold carved half-hoop with double diamond spacers between each stone, leading to a slim and tapering D-shaped gold shank. The internal hallmarks are very faded, but appear to indicate Birmingham, 1934.
Cut – Cushion cut rubies. The diamonds are round brilliants.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS.
Carat – The centre ruby is approximately 0.70 carat, with a total approximate ruby weight of 1.10 carat. Each of the four diamonds is approximately 0.03 carat
Circa – 1935.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – From the edge of one outer ruby to the other is 16.7mm. The ring is 8.4mm at the widest point and sits 3.4mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
