Art Deco 1.17 Carat Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1935

Pure Deco. With an exceptionally lively old European cut diamond the centre, mounted in a four claw square collet leading to an “H” gallery. Four (two either side) rubover set baguette cut diamonds step down in the shoulders leading to a D-shaped shank. Geometric, beautifully proportioned and desperately lovely.

Cut – Old mine / miner cut. The diamond in the shoulders are eight cuts.

Colour – H.

Clarity – SI2.

Carat – 1.17 carat in the centre, with a further estimated 0.30 carat in the shoulders.

Circa – 1935.

Size – J (UK) or 4 5/8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The diamond is 7mm in diameter and sits 5.9mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
