Art Deco 1.18 Carat Natural, No Heat Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1915
A vintage ruby ring of undeniable class and quality. The oval cut ruby – certified as natural and without heat treatment – is a rich, bright and lively blood red. The centre stone is secured in an eight-claw platinum coronet collet with six (three either side) old mine cut diamonds in the shoulders. The intricately pierced gallery leads to a slim, rose gold shank. From the top drawer.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and originates from Mozambique.
Cut – Oval cut ruby and old cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – The ruby is SI2. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The ruby is a known 1.18 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.48 carat.
Circa – 1915.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is 6.19 x 5.5mm. From the edge of one outer diamond is 16.25mm. The ring is 7.6mm at the widest point and sits 5.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k rose gold and platinum. Tested.
