Art Deco 1.21 Carat Natural Burmese Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1940
A gorgeous Burmese ruby ring. The central stone is a bright pinkish red and is secured by four platinum claws within a surround of a twenty round brilliant cut diamonds each set in a within individual platinum rubover settings. A further six (three each side) diamond are set down the shoulders, leading to a slim 18k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut ruby with brilliant cut diamonds
Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The ruby is 1.21 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.38 carat.
Circa – 1940.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is 8.62 x 6.30mm. The head of the ring is 12 x 9.75mm. Sits 5.25mm from the finger.
Metal – Stamped PLAT 18CT – platinum and 18k yellow gold – and tests as such.
