Art Deco 1.23 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1920
A belter of an old mine cut engagement ring. The centre stone – graded by HRD Antwerp as I colour, VVS2 clarity – is glowingly white and internally very clean. Four claws at compass point secure the cushion shaped diamond in a very pretty low collet which leads to a skinny platinum shank set with eight (four each side) eight-cut diamonds. Mesmeric.
Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#180000145810).
Cut – Old mine cut with eight-cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – I (G to H in the shoulders).
Clarity – VVS2 (VS1 to VS2 in the shoulders).
Carat – 1.23 carat in the centre (with a further approximate 0.07 carat in the shoulders).
Circa – 1920.
Measurements – The diamond is 6.51 x 6.36mm and sits 5mm from the finger.
Size – K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
