Art Deco 1.24 Carat Mogok Burmese Ruby & Diamond Ring, circa 1925
The finest rubies in the world are from Myanmar (Burma), and finest rubies in Myanmar are from Mogok. This wonderful and rare Mogok ruby is a glowing, bright red and is rubover set in 18k yellow gold. Set in the bombé-shaped surround are a total of 30 eight-cut diamonds within pierced and vented detailing, with decorative scrolling cheniers in the gallery leading to a slender platinum shank. A true treasure.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin, from Mogok.
Cut – Cushion cut ruby and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are between F and G.
Clarity – The ruby is slightly included. The diamonds are VS1 and VS2.
Carat – The ruby is a known 1.24 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.40 carat
Circa – 1925.
Size – I (i) 1/2 (UK) or 4.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down. There is a limit to how much this can be altered so please contact us before ordering.
Measurements – The ruby is approximately 6.3 x 5.9mm. The ring is 10.3mm at the widest point and sits 5.5mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. The ruby is set in 18k yellow gold. Tested.
