Art Deco 1.39 Carat Old Oval Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1940
Holy moly. The gloriously white and lively oval shaped old cut diamond is set laterally within the most wonderfully extravagant mount. The centre stone is secured by a six split claws. Each of the graduating shoulders is set with eight eight-cut diamonds and very finely and intricately milgrained. A further ten (five either side) are set at the base of the gallery, lending extra bling to an already dazzling ring.
Cut – Old oval cut diamond in the centre, with eight-cut diamonds in the mount.
Colour – G in the centre. The rest of the diamonds are E.
Clarity – SI1 in the centre, with VS1 stones in the mount.
Carat – A known 1.39 in the centre. With an estimated additional 0.20 carat in the mount.
Circa – 1940.
Size – I 1/2 (UK) or 4.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The central diamond is approximately 7.2 x6.5mm. The ring is 7.3mm at widest point and sits 5.7mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Stamped and tested.
