Art Deco 1.42 Carat Burmese Pink Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1920
A stunningly beautiful antique pink sapphire ring. The centre stone displays a rich, deep and even cranberry colour – the hue of which is emphasised by the icy white baguette cut diamonds either side. Rubover set in platinum, the diamonds lead to a slim, knife-edge 18k gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with baguette cut diamonds
Colour – The diamonds are E to F.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI1.
Carat – The ruby is 1.42 carat. Each baguette cut diamond is approximately 0.15 carat.
Circa – 1920.
Size – P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 8.8 x 6.8mm. Sits 5.3mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested.
