Art Deco 1.56 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, French, circa 1940
A big, bold old cut diamond engagement ring. The centre stone is impressively large and is “spread-y” for its size. The stone is secured in an eight-claw open collet above a scalloped back-plate which both reflects light back into the stone and makes this already well-proportioned diamond appear even larger. On a slim white gold shank with grooved detailing at the shoulders.
Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30307993).
