Art Deco 1.70 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1930
A masterful old cut diamond engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre – graded by HRD Antwerp as L colour, VS2 clarity – displays the subtlest champagne hue and absolutely fizzes with life and fire. The stone is finely crafted collet with four split claw at the compass points of the stone. The high, arched shoulders feature six (three each side) baguette cut diamonds of graduating size conforming to a slim, platinum shank.
Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#190000156855).
Cut – Old European cut, with baguette cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – L (F to G in the shoulders).
Clarity – VS2. The diamonds in the shoulders are VS1 to SI2.
Carat – 1.70 (with a further approximate 0.18 carat in the shoulders).
Circa – 1930.
Measurements – The centre diamond is 7.93 x 8.12mm and sits 5.5mm from the finger.
Size – J (UK) or 4.5/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – Platinum. Stamped PLAT and tests as such.
