Art Deco 1.72 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1920
One rarely finds an old cut diamond as white and as internally clean as this. Certified by GIA as F colour, VS1 clarity – the glowing cushion shaped old mine cut diamond is secured by four split claws in a simple, striped back setting. Eight (four each side) eight-cut diamonds are set in the milgrained shoulders, to a slim platinum shank. The mount is deliberately understated; this is all about the diamond.
