Art Deco 11.96 Carat Natural Ceylon Cabochon Sapphire Ring, circa 1925
A hypnotically beautiful cabochon sapphire. The glowing centre stone – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon – displays a slight colour change; blue in sunlight, purple in artificial light. The sapphire is secured in a four claw platinum collet with fine detailing in the gallery, leading to vented step-down shoulders set with fourteen (seven each side) high white eight-cut diamonds.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cabochon sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 11.96 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.21 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Size – O (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 14.10 x 10.30mm. Sits 10.8mm from the finger.
