Art Deco 12.00 Carat Ceylon Yellow Sapphire Ring, circa 1940
A natural yellow sapphire that literally glows. The large, cushion shaped stone – graded by GCS as having no heat treatment and originating from Sri Lanka (Ceylon) – is secured within a four claw collet with a line of four diamonds set at each side, leading to a wide, flat, white gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – The sapphire is SI (eye clean). The diamonds are SI2 to I1.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 12.00, with approximately 0.50 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1940.
Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US), not including the sizing adjustors inside the band. Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 14.4 x 12.1mm. Sits 7.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
