Art Deco 12.35 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1915
An antique sapphire ring of the absolute highest quality. The sapphire – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) is the absolute perfect cornflower blue. The stone is secured in a gold rubover setting and sits in the centre of a double halo of eighty-two (total) rose cut diamonds set in platinum. The double gallery features stunning geometric and triangular detailing, leading to a slim yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with rose cut a diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are SI1 to I1.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 12.35 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.41 carat.
Circa – 1915.
Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 13.32 x 10.89mm. The ring is 19.3 x 17.4mm and sits 10.66 from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested.
