Art Deco 17.83 Carat Minor Oil Colombian Emerald Ring, circa 1935
A striking and important ring. This impossibly bright, glowing emerald – certified as originated from Colombia – has undergone only minor clarity enchantment, making it a truly rare and collectable stone. The emerald is wonderfully showcased in a stunning platinum mount, featuring stylised Art Deco wing motif shoulders, each side set with ten old European cut diamonds and one baguette cut diamond, leading to a slender mount.
Accompanied by an Emerald Report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the emerald is Colombian and has only received minor clarity enhancement.
Cut – Oval cut emerald. The diamonds are old European cut and baguette cuts.
Colour – Diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – Some visible inclusions in the emerald (as is normal and expected for this stone). The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The emerald is a known 17.83 carat. The total estimated diamond weight 0.60 carat
