An absolutely spectacular Art Deco solitaire ring. The old mine cut diamond in the centre – graded by HRD Antwerp as J colour, VVS2 clarity – is claw set with in striking hexagonal surround. Six small rubover set eight-cut diamonds are set between linking bars of smooth platinum. The delicately pierced gallery leads to a slim and tapering 18k yellow gold shank. A gloriously individual ring.
Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#190000156889).
Cut – Old mine cut, with eight-cuts in the surround.
Colour – J (H to I in the surround).
Clarity – VVS2 (VS1 to VS2 in the surround).
Carat – 2.02 (with a further approximate 0.09 carat in the surround).
Circa – 1920.
Measurements – The diamond is 7.30 x 7.49mm. The head of the ring is 11.5 x 10.5mm and sits 5.6mm from the finger.
