Art Deco 2.05 Carat Natural Purple Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1935
A masterful unheated purple sapphire and diamond ring. The cushion shaped sapphire in the centre – certified as natural and unheated – displays a vivid, regal purple. The stone is secured in a platinum rubover setting which sits within an octagonal shaped cluster set with ten old mine cut diamonds, the two either side of the sapphire being both slightly larger and sitting slightly higher than the remaining diamonds. Decorative detailing in the gallery leads to a slim white gold shank. A timelessly beautiful Deco stunner.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
