Art Deco 2.07 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1925
A cracker of ring. The old cut diamond in the centre – graded by HRD, Antwerp as I colour, VS2 clarity – is bright, clean and impressively lively. The stone is secured in an eight-claw collet with an open gallery, allowing maximum amounts of light to pass through the stone. The centre stone sits nice and low to the finger, with six (three each side) rose cut diamond set milgrained shoulders, leading to a slim, D-shaped shank.
Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#190000156851).
Cut – Old mine cut in the centre with rose cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – I in the centre, I to J in the shoulders.
Clarity – VS2 in the centre. The diamonds in the shoulders are SI1 to SI2.
Carat – 2.07 carat in the centre. The total approximate weight of the diamonds in the shoulders is 0.06 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Measurements – The centre stone is 7.86 x 7.42mm. Sits 5.5mm from the finger.
