Art Deco 2.35 Carat Old Pear & Mine Cut Diamond Drop Pendant, circa 1920
A highly impressive and highly beautiful diamond drop pendant. The old pear cut, weighing in at (approx.) 1.50 carat is rubover and milgrain set in platinum and floats within a border of yellow gold. The pear connects via a fixed linking bar set with a small old cut diamond in the centre, to a rubover set diamond of approximately 0.65 carat. On a platinum trace chain. Scintillating.
Cut – Old pear cut and old mine cuts.
Colour – The top two diamonds are H, the pear is I.
Clarity – The top two diamonds are VS2 and SI1 respectively. The pear is SI2
Carat – The pear is approximately 1.50 carat, with the top two diamonds weighing approximately 0.65 an 0.20 carat respectively.
Circa – 1920.
Measurements – The chain is 16 inches. From the top of the top diamond to the bottom of the pear is 39.25mm.
Metal – All the metals have been tested. The clasp is 18k gold, the chain is platinum. The drop is platinum at the front and 18k yellow gold at the reverse.
