Art Deco 2.50 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1930
The most wonderfully pretty Ceylon sapphire ring. The centre stone – certified as natural, unheated, and originating from Ceylon – displays a gorgeous swimming pool blue. The centre stone is secured by four platinum claws with a surround of fourteen rose cut diamonds in platinum, above a scalloped yellow gold gallery. Plain platinum shoulders lead to a slim, D-shaped yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS. All the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 2.50 carat with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.25 carat
Circa – 1930.
Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 10.8 x 6.8. The head of the ring is 16.3 x 13.9 and sits 7.1mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. Tested.
