Art Deco 3.89 Carat Burmese Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1920
An utterly majestic Art Deco sapphire ring. The centre stone – certificated natural and unheated – displays a rich, deep and regal blue. The stone is rubover set in milgrained platinum with curving step-down shoulders set with eighteen (nine each side) eight cut diamonds. Beautiful, geometric detailing in the gallery leads to a slim, platinum shank. A true vintage treasure.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is 3.89 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.27 carat.
Circa – 1920.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.45 x 8.45mm. The ring is 11.9mm at the widest point and sits 5mm from the finger.
