Art Deco 4.06 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1925
The most incredible vintage sapphire and diamond ring. The sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) is both a meaningfully deep blue, but also impressively bright. The stone is surrounded by 18 old cut diamonds in milgrained platinum rubover settings above a finely pierced gallery, leading to a slim platinum shank. A ring of the highest possible quality.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire with old cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1 to SI1.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 4.06 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.54 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.8 x 8.5mm. The ring is 16.8 x 14.1mm and sits 7mm from the finger.
