Art Deco 4.40 Carat Minor Oil Emerald Ring, dated 1930
An incredibly beautiful stone in an incredibly beautiful setting. The Zambian emerald is a bright and glowing electric green with blue-ish undertones. The stone is set laterally in a rubover setting with the most intricate detailing in the gallery; finely pierced, migrained and set with eight eight-cut diamonds, leading to a D-shaped shank. The inside of the shank is engraved with 29 – 5 – 30.
Accompanied by an emerald report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the emerald has only had minor clarity enhancement and is Zambian in origin.
Cut – Oval cut emerald and eight cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The emerald is eye clean (rare for an emerald). The diamonds are VS.
Carat – The emerald is 4.40 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.12 carat.
Dated – 1930. The inside of the band is engraved with 29 – 5 – 30.
Measurements – The emerald is 11.73 x 9.24mm. The ring is 14.7mm at the widest point and sits 6.8mm from the finger.
