Art Deco 4.63 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1935
An unbelievably pretty vintage natural sapphire solitaire ring. The centre stone – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – is a glowing cornflower blue. The stone is secured by four split claws leading to a flared and plain white gold shoulders, to a slender 18k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Octagonal cut.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye.
Carat – 4.63.
Circa – 1935.
Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 9.4 x 7.2mm and sits 6.8mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow and white gold. Tested.
