Art Deco 6.00 Carat Half Moon Ruby & Diamond Drop Earrings, circa 1930

A fantastic and unusual pair of drop earrings. Created from with a mix of cuts and shapes, these look cutting edge an modern even now. Each earring is formed from three articulated parts and set with 40 single cut diamonds and four baguette cuts (each earring). The feature stones is an arresting 3.00 carat (approximate) half-moon cut ruby; bright and deep, contrasting dramatically with the colourless white diamonds.

Cut – The diamonds are a mix of old single cuts and baguette cuts. The ruby is a half moon.

Colour – Diamonds are F; colourless.

Clarity – The diamonds are VS. The rubies have some visible inclusions, but these do not effect their lustre.

Carat – Each ruby is approximately 3.00 carat. The total estimated diamond weight is 1.28 carat (0.64 each earring).

Circa – 1930.

Measurements – From the very top of the earring to the bottom is 34mm. The earrings are 16.3mm wide at the widest point.

Metal – Platinum. Tested.
