Art Deco 9.06 Carat Natural Madagascan Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1930
A mesmerising sapphire – natural and unheated – showcased in a gloriously pretty setting. The stone, from Madagascar, displays a glowing sky blue, and is encircled by nineteen old cut diamonds in a intricately pierced gallery. The elegant grooved band graduates towards the shoulders and meets the head of the ring with fine scrolling flourish. A treasure.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Madagascan in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and old mine / miner cut diamonds.
Colour – The sapphire is blue The diamonds are H to J.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1
Carat – The sapphire is a known 9.06 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.95.
Circa – 1930.

Measurements – The head of the ring is approximately 17.6mm by 12.7mm and sits 8.4mm from the finger.
