Art Deco 9.14 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1925
A glowing sapphire in a stunner of a ring. The natural and unheated Ceylon sapphire is a bright aqua blue and is veritably aglow with fire and brilliance. The centre is rubover and milgrain set within a surround of twenty old eight-cut diamonds in platinum, leading to a rose gold triple shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire. The diamonds are old eight-cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The sapphire is SI2. The diamonds are VS1 to SI2. All are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 9.14 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Size – O (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 14.04 x 10.17mm. The head of the ring is 20.5 x 16.1mm. Sits 7.1mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k rose gold and platinum. Tested.
